Noah's Ark Children's Hospice
Organisation type: Voluntary or Community Sector
Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice is a community based hospice service providing support for children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions and their families in Central and North London. Our mission is:
to provide care and support for children and young people from birth who have a life-limiting or life-threatening condition. Our aim is to enable them to live full lives and to achieve their aspirations;
to ensure that families are able to live life as fully as possible whilst their child is still alive and go on to face the future with hope after bereavement.
In 2011, research commissioned by Together for Short Lives and conducted by Leeds University revealed that there could be at least 1086 children who would benefit from our help. Year on year Noah’s Ark has seen an increase in referrals from families needing our support and we have expanded our services to meet that need.
Noah’s Ark currently has an annual income target of £1.7m to provide our vital services. As a charity we remain dependent on private donations to provide our services with less than 10% of funding coming from the statutory sector.
